Industry
veteran, Rudy
Sprogis, created Clairol Professional's
award-winning "Color Can Make A Difference" program.
Under his direction, the national in-salon
fundraising campaign
raised $400,000 for the American Foundation for AIDS Research
(AmFAR) and was honored at the United Nations with the
prestigious "Award of Distinction for Corporate Leadership".
Rudy
then produced "Beauty & Beyond '99" - a gala
benefiting
the Beauty Cares Foundation - and raised $100,000 to support beauty industry
professionals living with HIV/AIDS.
With so many requests made of him to work on
behalf of not-for-profit organizations,
he began to divide his time in the salon with his charitable work. In 2000,
he
established b•cause®.
In recognition of his humanitarian efforts,
Rudy was named a "Beauty Industry Hero"
by American Salon magazine.
